1. What Daybreak Does
Daybreak helps you spend less time on distracting apps and websites. It lets you schedule focus windows, set daily app-usage limits, block chosen apps and sites, run on-demand focus sessions, and grow an optional in-app companion (“Foxi”) as you build the habit. All of your schedules and settings live on your device.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Daybreak. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Daybreak is free to use with core features. Daybreak Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks additional features such as unlimited focus windows and daily limits, website blocking, and full stats and export.
- Pro is offered as a monthly or annual subscription (for example, €2.50 per month or €24.99 per year; exact prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and over time).
- A free trial may be offered. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Google Play account and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms. We do not process payments and generally cannot issue refunds directly — refund requests are subject to Google Play’s policies.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Daybreak only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app except where permitted by law;
- use the app to interfere with, disable, or circumvent security or device features beyond Daybreak’s own focus features;
- use the app in any unlawful way or in violation of Google Play policies.
5. How Blocking Works — Important Limitations
Daybreak’s blocking is a self-discipline aid, not a security or parental-control guarantee. Because of how Android works:
- A determined user can always bypass blocking (for example, by disabling the Accessibility Service, changing the system clock, or uninstalling the app). Daybreak intentionally never prevents you from turning it off.
- Blocking depends on Android permissions and system behaviour (including manufacturer battery managers that may stop background services). We can’t guarantee blocking will trigger in every situation on every device.
- Website blocking works within supported browsers only and may not cover every browser or app.
Daybreak is a tool to support your own intentions. It is not a substitute for professional, medical, or psychological advice or treatment for compulsive device use.
6. Accessibility Service
Daybreak uses Android’s Accessibility Service solely to detect which app is in the foreground so it can display its focus shield. It does not read, collect, or transmit your screen content, text, keystrokes, or passwords. See our Privacy Policy for full detail. You may disable this permission at any time in your device settings, which will turn off blocking.
7. Your Data
Your usage history, schedules, limits, and settings stay on your device. Uninstalling Daybreak removes its locally stored data. Our handling of anonymous diagnostics and analytics is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Daybreak, including its name, design, artwork, the Foxi companion, and software, is owned by KinglerApps and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app except as allowed by law.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Daybreak is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that blocking will function without fail on every device.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KinglerApps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including any consequences of blocking triggering or failing to trigger. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which KinglerApps operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
